About Us

CryptoChicks is an international decentralized organization that is running an educational programs worldwide. We organize hackathons, conferences and other educational events. Our events are sponsored and supported by IBM, Microsoft, Deloitte, Royal Bank of Canada and many others. Our classes are open to everyone, but we are particularly focused on educating women because we believe that women’s involvement will help blockchain realize its enormous potential as an instrument of positive change in the world. Educational Program

We invite everyone who wants to learn blockchain technology from business and technical prospective. We focus on educating primarily women, but will also accept applications from men who wants to learn themselves and help our women too. We need business analysts as well as software developers. We also accept an absolute beginners.

    You will learn with a help of CryptoChicks and our sponsor BlockGeeks :

    • Different blockchain technologies
    • How to develop decentralized application
    • ERC20 and ERC 721 tokens
    • How to design effective cryptoeconomics token models
    • How to program using different blockchain technologies and eco-systems
    • How to design and build your own blockchain business
    • Challenges and roadblocks in current blockchain techologies

    We will track your progress and provide you with the help and resources you need to study effectively. At the end of your education you will have an opportunity to participate in our CryptoChicks Hackathon in Karachi and put your skills to practice while competing for a prize. Upon the results of your education you will also have an opportunity to be placed into CryptoChicks Community Incubator program or go through CryptoChicks Employment program.

    All female participants will get a FULL access to ALL BlockGeeks online courses and all our regular Live webinars

    We also invite MENTORS to help our learners. If you are an experienced software developer and would like to help our women to code, please apply and get a full access to all blockchain courses too in return for your help

    Co-founder

    Software development team lead turned entrepreneur. She founded CryptoChicks.ca in July 2017 with the vision to empower and inspire women interested in learning about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. “Women are underrepresented in technology, especially in blockchain technology. I wanted to create a friendly environment where women with non-developer and developer backgrounds met other women with similar interests. I managed to inspire and involve many women who become blockchain evangelists themselves”. Elena holds a Master of Computer Science and her specialties are in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, application architecture, design and development.

    Natalia is a Senior Finance Executive with multi-industry experience. Her expertise is in strategic financial planning, decision support, operations management and change management. She holds Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration as well as CPA/CMA accounting designation. She is a co-founder of CryptoChicks and is inspired by its mission – to grow the industry and its adoption by engaging women. After attending multiple crypto events, she believes that “we have this incredible opportunity to gain further insight and innovation by tapping into the immense talent of women”. Natalia was introduced to Blockchain technology in 2014 and has been passionate about the industry since.

    Shamim Rajani

    Shamim Rajani

    Shamim Rajani is a Techpreneur and has been serving the Pakistan IT industry for the last 13 years. She is COO at Genetech Solutions, a software company dedicated to providing End to End IT solutions and services to its Global audience. Shamim started out her journey as a Technology Trainer in 1998 at ConsulNet Corporation, and later diversified it to add Genetech Solutions as their Web and Mobile Apps Development company in 2004. Today, Genetech serves hundreds of customers worldwide and has a team of 50 Developers on board. Shamim is an IBA graduate Entrepreneur, a Professional Scrum Master and recently graduated from Draper University San Francisco, as an Executive in their Blockchain intensive Program – an autodidact, she loves to challenge herself.

    Faiza Yousuf

    Faiza Yousuf is a Technologist and been working in the tech industry for almost 9 years. She is a serial entrepreneur and is currently running a business consultation company with the focus on helping small businesses (especially Women led) to embrace technology. Faiza is the founder of WomenInTechPK, which is the first and only community for women technologists in Pakistan. This thriving community has over 4300 members from all over the country and it has been making waves by starting an open dialogue about lack of inclusion in the tech industry. The goal is to devise strategies for a more diversified and accepting environment for women and to give opportunities, access to mentorship and re-entry programs to women who want to get back to the workforce.

    Faiza is a graduate and post graduate from NED University of Engineering and Technology and a graduate from The World Bank funded WomenXPakistan program. She teaches technology to CS undergrad and grad students and loves to read and write.
